Learning, refracted.

Prisma is a new kind of music technology platform — built for the students who never quite fit the syllabus, and for the teachers who already knew the syllabus was the problem. We turn courses into modules, modules into possibilities, and accessibility into the default.

What is Prisma

A prism takes one beam of light and reveals every colour inside it.

Education has spent a century doing the opposite — collapsing the full spectrum of how people think, create and learn into a single, narrow beam. Prisma reverses that move. We take a music technology course and refract it: into liquid modules a teacher can remix, into a knowledge graph students can wander, into an interface that adapts to the person in front of it. The result is a school that bends around the learner, not the other way around.

Liquid Modules

Every lesson is a set of small, self-contained pieces — a video, a code sketch, a sound, an exercise. Teachers reorder them, students remix them, and a single module can live inside ten different courses without being rewritten once.

Knowledge Graph

Behind every module is a living map of concepts, prerequisites and creative adjacencies. Curious students follow the threads sideways; struggling students find the shortest path back to solid ground.

Adaptive Interface

Reduced motion, high contrast, keyboard-first navigation, screen-reader scripting, real-time captions — none of it lives in a hidden settings menu. Accessibility is the baseline experience, and everyone benefits from it.

Mission

Democratize music technology education.

For too long, learning music meant choosing between traditional instruments and digital tools — and students with hearing impairments were often left out. We build the curriculum and the platform that let every learner explore sound through multiple senses: hearing it, seeing it, feeling it. Visual feedback, live coding and adaptive interfaces make music accessible to all.

Vision

Music education that moves at the speed of curiosity.

We imagine classrooms where the syllabus is rewritten every week by what students actually ask, where a lesson on rhythm leads naturally into a lesson on algorithms, where a deaf student and a hearing student work on the same track from opposite sides of the same interface — one following the sound, the other the visual pattern. Not a distant utopia — the next version of music education, prototyped one module at a time.

Team

A small collective of makers, teachers and advocates.

Prisma is built by designers, engineers, musicians and educators who all share one thing: we have each, at some point, been failed by a rigid educational tool. So we design with the communities we serve — disabled students, neurodivergent learners, working teachers — not for them. Every decision passes through their hands before it reaches yours.
